    On the right is a girl named Mary whose height is 175cm. I want to measure the distance between Mary and me. I watch Mary''s head , and at my sight I point A and B. In the same way, I watch Mary''s foot and point C and D. So as you see, the two lines would meet at the point E . And you will also see there is a triangle (EFG）in the figure.
